Canadian scientific illustrator Alicia Voth creates art for science, science literacy and global change. Originally a marine biologist and earth scientist, Alicia began blending her artistic talents with her passion for science during graduate school.

While she still enjoys illustrating for academia, the focus of Alicia’s art has evolved to promote broader science literacy and raise awareness of environmental issues. As a lifelong naturalist and outdoor enthusiast, Alicia believes deeply in the importance of appreciation and understanding as foundational steps towards sustained environmental conservation. Alicia’s hope is that her art will encourage us to reflect on our place within the natural world and our duty to protect it.
